Welcome to Ruggerscustoms.com. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By accessing or using the website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website.
2. Services
Ruggers Customs provides repair and upgrade services for video game consoles and many other electronics. The scope of Services and any fees associated with them are outlined on our website and may be subject to change at any time.
3. Use of our Website
3.1 Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use our services or purchase anything from Ruggerscustoms.com.
3.2 Account Registration (when available): You may need to create an account to access certain features of our website. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.
3.3 Prohibited Activities: You agree not to use the website for any unlawful or prohibited activities, including but not limited to:
Hacking or interfering with the Website's security
Uploading or transmitting malicious software
Engaging in fraudulent or deceptive practices
4. Payment and Refunds
4.1 Payment: Payment for Services must be made within 72 hours after your order is complete. Orders without payment after 30 days will be considered abandoned and will be resold to recoup costs.
4.2 Refunds: We offer no refunds on completed services. However, since we never accept money up front for services, you are allowed to cancel or make changes to your existing order here. We understand that situations arise, so if you would like to cancel your order then please contact us to make arrangements to do so. Please note that you will be responsible for return shipping costs and any other fees. We will not ship to another installer or shop on your behalf.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on RuggersCustoms.com, including text, graphics, logos, images, our No-Cut designs and pcb designs are the property of Ruggers Customs and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not use any content without our express written permission.
6. Limitation of Liability
Ruggers Customs is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Website or our Services. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.
7. Shipping
You must ship your order out within 7 days after you receive shipping information/instructions. Any longer than 7 days and your order will be cancelled.
7.1 Shipping Carriers: You may use any carrier that you choose. However, please don't send anything with a Signature Confirmation. Signature Confirmation shipments will be refused, and your order will be cancelled.
7.2 Return shipping: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and will be totaled into the final invoice. All orders foreign and domestic will have insurance matching the total amount on your invoice. Please let us know if you would like a different insurance amount. We're not responsible for shipping carriers damaging or losing your shipment.
7.3 Shipping boxes: Please use a box large enough for the return trip. Allow 3 to 4 inches of clearance around all sides of your console for adequate packing material. Additional charges will apply if we have to rebox your order.
7.4 Order request form: Please download and fill out the order request form (Upgrade/Repair Order Request Form (PDF) Link). If you're not able to do so, then please print it out and include it with your order. If you don't want to email and you don't have access to a printer, then you can write your information on a slip of paper as follows:
A. Name associated with the order, please no aliases.
B. Return shipping address and email you would like the invoice sent to.
C. Services you are requesting along with any special requests.
7.5 Drop shipping: Due to liability reasons, we no longer accept drop shipped items.
8. Turnaround times
We do our best to complete your order in a timely fashion. Most orders are completed within 15 business days or less. Large collections may take more time. We always respond back to inquiries within 24 hours on weekdays only. We do not respond on weekends. Once we have confirmed that we have received your order, we will contact you if any issues arise or when your order is completed. It is not necessary to continuously email us asking for "updates". Due to our large workload and limited staff, we politely ask that you refrain from doing so.
Please understand that we are a specialty shop; orders can and often do take longer than originally estimated due to order queue, time of year, multiple items sent in, and condition of the items sent in to be repaired/restored.
9. Hazard fees
9.1 Bug hazard fee (roaches and bedbugs): There will be an automatic 200.00 charge immediately applied to any invoice if a console is sent in infested with cockroaches or bed bugs. This is not negotiable. If you feel you might have this problem or if you already have an active infestation in your home or you purchased your console from someone who does, please open up your console and check before sending it in. This is only for roaches and bedbugs due to their nature of fast infestations.
9.2 Animal or rodent soiled consoles or extremely dirty consoles: There will be additional costs if your console is soiled with pet or rodent urine/feces or if your order is covered in mud. Yes, unfortunately this happens far more than it should.
10. Warranty
All our work and merchandise sold carry a 90-day full warranty (parts, labor and shipping both ways) and a Limited Lifetime warranty afterwards (labor only) unless specified otherwise. Warranty only covers our work and our products. We don't warranty any 3rd party upgrade kits. You must contact the original manufacturer you purchased it from to resolve any faulty or defective upgrade kits. Warranty also doesn't cover customer abuse/tampering or acts of nature.
11. Rude or abusive customers
We don’t tolerate abusive or rude customers. We don’t have time for it, and we’ll immediately ship your console back at your expense.
12. Trade-ins
Occasionally we accept certain consoles for trade in or for credit on an order. This changes regularly so please contact us with any questions.
13. Changes to Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website. Your continued use of the website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
